WhatsApp will soon give you access to hide your ‘Last seen’ from specific contacts

WhatsApp is presently letting everyone view your last seen if that feature is on. They plan to add a new feature in the Last seen settings called my ‘contact except.’ This feature is currently tested on Apple users on iOS devices.

WhatsApp application is trying to modify the old privacy setting, which was introduced years back. This update is regarding the last seen feature, which allows other contacts to view the last time you were using the application.

The new security update would be a minor update. Still, an intelligent update designed explicitly for the users who are conscious about the people who view their last seen on the WhatsApp application.

At present, the application only gives you the three options in the last viewed sittings option that is everyone can view; only my contacts can view and last nobody can view the last seen. They are now going to add a new option called ‘my contact except.’

This new feature will enable you to keep the last seen activated and keep it disable from the specific people you wish not to share your last seen option.

According to WABetainfo, a developer option, this setting would also work for your profile picture and the about section.

WhatsApp’s privacy rule will also be applicable in the latest changes as the previous one. If you disable, you’re last seen or keep it disable from someone; you won’t be able to see their last seen as well.

This latest feature will provide users a flexible option to select from. This updated privacy setting is right now being tested on iOS users, but soon from the next update, Android users will also be able to use these features.
