Twitter is planning to roll out a new range of shopping tools that will provide in-app product listings directly associated with a business profile in the app. This will enable the users to save the product for further purchase and purchase inside the application.
The latest update will come with the purchase tab in the user’s profile. The purchase tab is currently associated with the super follows option and displaying any subscription or digital tickets purchased in the application.
Twitter is further planning to include listings of product purchases linked to twitter’s e-commerce experiments. Some Twitter users can see the new purchase tab in the profile, which is currently in beta testing. Soon Twitter will list products purchased from the application, which is not started yet.
Currently, Twitter’s product listings are being developed on various fonts. First of these will be the new product display panel for the professional profiles, which Twitter is testing with a small group of small and medium-sized businesses in the USA.
The Professional profile users will be having a new customizable display panel above the tweet feed. Brands will be able to share additional information about the nature of the business, along with the app store listing and the image of the product, along with the call to action button.
In addition to this functionality, Twitter is also testing in–tweet product display action and the call the action feature. This feature will be in addition to its new purchase tab, which will take some time to develop.
The latest update of Twitter will bring a revolution in the e-commerce sector and increase the overall engagement in the application. Twitter is soon planning to launch this feature before Christmas for general use across the globe
