Snapchat has offered a showcase of its developing AR Try-on tools with an innovative integration for ComplexCon. This will allow Snapchat users to virtually try on branded t-shirts and hoodies to look at how the user looks at the application.
Currently, the application is not perfectly completed yet. The digital overlook still looks a bit puffy and not accurately aligned to the user’s proportion. However, it’s another instance snap chat’s increasing advances in body mapping. This will enable the Snapchat users to virtually experience all types of clothing related to the personal size options and customization inside the application.
Snapchat is already offering various AR try-ons options for ad campaigns, including make-up, glasses, jewelry, shoes, and other items.
Snapchat has been developing the next generation of digital wearables for a while. In May, Snapchat worked with Prada and Farfetch on a wide variety of digital try-on projects. This included some of the upper body clothing as well.
Snapchat also purchased a company called digital sizing company FitAnalytics back in March. This provided the tools to assist and facilitate product matches along with accumulating data on customer preferences.
The sum-up of these events and developments has seen Snapchat making vital steps in its AR development. This can play a crucial role in the next stage of e-commerce.
