Pinterest tries out full–screen, vertical display Scrolling option for Discoveries.

Pinterest is the latest social media application that is following the trend of vertical scrolling of feed options for its content. It is testing a new Watch mode for Pin discoveries.

The New feature includes a full-screen mode in the discovery tab, which is available for both to browse and watch display. The browse mode is the traditional model of the Pinterest search method, and the watch mode is the new way in which users can watch the pins. Both video and static images can be displayed in the vertical scrolling stream.

Pinterest has stated that it is constantly testing products and features to help its community encounter inspiring ideas. This is to build more ways for the creators to get in touch with the global audience to try new and innovative things.

Pinterest has not provided any specific information regarding this project. They have not clarified how many users can access the watch feeds. But this is a step towards user behavior and to develop more user engagement on the platform.

It is rational progress for Pinterest to add a new feature for its users for a better and seamless experience. Users might increase their watch time on the vertical full-screen display mode if the application has visually appealing content. It is just providing a platform to do so to maximize user engagement.

This project could be a small level test that could give a phenomenal result. But still, it seems to be a practical experiment. This shows the application’s more progressive approach towards development and adapting to the latest ideas.

It is not sure when Pinterest will launch this idea for common use, but this will help users discover more informational content through pins.
