Facebook Trials new Spotlight conversation opportunity to Simplify Focused In-App chats.

Facebook is trying out an innovative way to host more focused public chats in the application. With a new spotlight conversation post option. This feature, when permitted, will separate replies from the specific users inside a new chat thread.

Facebook officials explained that Spotlight conversation would enable users to invite selected users to respond to the post. Their responses will be shown in a dedicated space without any interruption. Other people still will be able to see the post and comment on the same. But their reply will be shown in another tab within the reply area.

The initial post shows the invited contributors to the chat. The conversation between the pot host and the guest is displayed in a distinct spotlight chat area, and all other replies are in the additional comments tab.

This feature is similar to Twitter’s reply control tab. This feature was launched last August. It permits the users to limit who can reply to the tweets to only the @mentioned user.

Facebook is trying to provide additional means to share real-time conversations in the application for well-liked users. This can increase the utility of the Facebook reply feature to Q and A, a platform for celebrity interviews, etc.

This feature is somewhat comparable to another feature of Facebook test in threads replies. This option doesn’t permit the participants, but it adds a different approach to the post reply thread platform.

This platform can create new prospects. Both spotlight conversations and threads are now available on the media for beta testing for some users inside the application.
